Chris Stewart is an associate in the New York City office of White & Case LLP working as a member of the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Group. His practice focuses on financing and developing various transactions in the telecommunications, infrastructure, renewable energy, and oil and gas industries. Before joining White & Case, Chris was a corporate associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York City and Los Angeles working on various M&A, Private Equity, and Capital Markets related matters. Prior to becoming a corporate attorney, Chris clerked for Judge Reed O'Connor in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Chris is a proud “Double Domer”, having received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and International Peace Studies (2009) and his Juris Doctorate (2015) from the University of Notre Dame and Notre Dame Law School. During his studies at Notre Dame, Chris was a nationally-recognized offensive lineman for the Notre Dame football team. During his first year of law school, while serving as a Captain of the team, Chris was credited as being the only full-time law student in the country to play Division I college football. Prior to graduating from Notre Dame Law School, he enjoyed a career as an offensive lineman in the National Football League for two years, playing for the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals.
A native of Greenwood, Mississippi and Houston, Texas, Chris currently calls Harlem, New York home.
Outside of work and spending time with his fiancé, Chris serves on the board of two nonprofit organizations: Play Like a Champion Today and Students Bridging the Information Gap (SBIG).
