Chris Heffner
Jacksonville Program Manager
Chris Heffner is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and music industry professional with a diverse background in aviation, leadership, and creative operations. He served honorably in the Marine Corps from October 2006 to October 2015 as a CH-46E Flightline Mechanic. During his military career, Chris deployed twice to the Middle East—first in 2008 with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron (HMM)-165 and again from 2009–2010 with HMM-166. Both squadrons served as the Aviation Combat Element for the 15th MEU and 11th MEU, respectively.
Chris was later stationed at MCAS Futenma, Okinawa, with HMM-262, where the squadron supported the 31st MEU and played a key role in providing humanitarian aid and disaster relief to Japan following the 2011 tsunami. He completed his final three years of service at MCB Camp Pendleton, California, with HMM(T)-164, where he was part of the team that retired the final CH-46E on the West Coast at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona.
Following his honorable discharge, Chris spent two years in the commercial aviation industry as a Quality Assurance Auditor before transitioning fully into the music industry. He currently works as a Label Manager for an independent dance music record label, a role he has held for four years, and as a Tour Manager, a position he has maintained for nine years. His work combines operational leadership, artist development, and live-tour logistics, allowing him to apply both technical discipline and creative strategy.
Chris discovered MVP through a local sports radio station in Jacksonville, Florida. After attending his first community workout and participating in virtual huddles, he quickly realized he had found a community that truly understood his experiences. The connections and support he found through MVP have been life-changing, and he looks forward to continuing that journey.
