Jack Dovey

Program Marketing Manager

Jack joined Merging Vets and Players (MVP) as an intern in the fall of 2022. He graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in marketing and has previous experience as a Sales and Marketing Intern for Techtronic Industries, Wealth Management Intern for UBS and others. Upon the conclusion of the internship, Jack joined MVP full-time as a Program Communications Specialist.

Jack grew up in the Bay Area in California but has lived in several different locations throughout the course of his life. He spent his high school years in boarding schools in Utah and Rhode Island, before moving to Denver, CO for college where he currently lives.

Sports have been an important part of Jack's life, playing competitive basketball, soccer, and cross country in high school, as well as a brief stint as a manager for the University of Denver Men's Basketball Team. During his senior year of high school, Jack was selected as a league All-Star in basketball and led the team to a finals appearance the following year as a post-graduate.

Though he has not personally served, Jack has family ties to the military. His biological uncle and grandfather both served in the United States Navy, and one of his uncles on his father's side served active duty in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. This family connection gave Jack a deep appreciation for the sacrifices that military service members make and the unique challenges they face upon returning to civilian life.

MVP's focus on promoting mental wellness and providing support services for veterans and athletes is something that Jack is passionate about. He is excited to be part of MVP and is looking forward to contributing to the organization's mission.
